Mechanical Engineering + Industrial Design Engineering

The Double Bachelor’s degree

Creativity and reliability

This double degree combines the creativity of design and the reliability of mechanics, which provides students with a broad perspective, both of the market and manufacturing to carry out their projects.

If you are interested in learning about the operation of machines and mechanisms, you are considering how to improve them or make them more efficient, and you are also passionate about innovation, technology and new materials, then this double degree is your best choice.

Two official degrees in 5 years

This double degree programme, the only one of its kind in the Basque country, allows you to obtain two official degrees recognised in Europe in two complementary disciplines. You can achieve it in 5 years of study.

  • The Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering will prepare you for work in the field of mechanical systems, structural calculations and in the management of projects related to machine design and production systems.
  • The Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design Engineering will allow you to develop products and services that combine technological capabilities and aesthetic, cultural, functional, environmental and quality features required by the market.

Practical and participative training

This double degree offers very practical, dynamic and participatory teaching methods, where the use of the Faculty’s labs plays a key role. In addition, the presentations, projects, practical exercises, group discussion and debate will allow students to develop the competences needed by university graduates and the knowledge and skills in these two Engineering degrees.

It also places special emphasis on executive skills training: skills such as oral communication, teamwork, creativity, etc. are put into practice in the different subjects in a transversal way.

Your guide through your learning experience

The tutorial plan is intended to help students adapt to the University.

You will have a course tutor each academic year that will give you advice on academic, personal and/or professional matters, and will act as a point of contact with the Dean's office, Secretariat and other teaching staff members. Ultimately, your tutor will be the person you go to directly if you have any problems or concerns.

In addition, there is a University Guidance Service that can help you to make decisions that may affect your academic performance or personal well-being.
