Curriculum

Your training - Languages

From basic knowledge to internships in organisations

1st 2nd and 3rd academic years: students concentrate on communication competences in three languages: Basque, English and Spanish. Tools for the comparative study of languages and literature.

Up to year 3: apart from subjects specific to the double degree, students receive training in a second foreign language (French, German, Chinese, or Arabic).

4th year: focus on study of Basque language and literature applied to professional contexts. Students apply the acquired knowledge during an internship in companies and institutions. Students also write a research paper on an aspect of the Basque language or culture. 

5th year students will focus on in-depth study of English through the specialization in English Studies. Students can do internships in this area and will write their final year project on some aspect of the English language or literature, with the option of relating them to Basque.


Subjects in three languages

The 240 ECTS credits are distributed in core subjects, compulsory subjects, electives, internships and the Undergraduate Year Project. Students choose from instruction in Spanish, English and Basque. In addition to subjects on each of the languages, they can study subjects taught in English and Basque.. See the languages of instruction for each subject on the curriculum.
 

Required entry level

  • Spanish and Basque: B2
  • English: B1 


Level achieved by the end of the degree studies

  • Spanish, Basque and English: C1-C2
     

The fourth language may be

  • French and German: A2-B1
  • Chinese and Arabic: A2-B1
