Practical and participatory training
At Deusto we focus on a practical, dynamic and participatory methodology, to ensure that our students achieve a high level of practical knowledge, which is essential for career development in this field.
- Attached to the Engineering Faculty, DeustoTech is the University of Deusto’s technology transfer and research centre. At DeustoTech, students with a high academic performance find the opportunity to partake in real business projects through paid grants.
- The Deusto Moto Team (DMT) and Deusto Drone Team (DDT) are formed by students from all the different degree programmes taught at the Engineering Faculty. This initiative is supported and supervised by a number of lecturers. Throughout the academic year, the teams work on building a smart electric motorbike (DMT) and a drone (DDT).
- In business-university seminars, our students receive grants from key firms in our area. Working shoulder to shoulder with lecturers and business professionals, they develop pilot projects where they experiment with the latest technologies.

Winning the competition was a great reward for a whole year of hard work. We learned to overcome obstacles, anticipate difficulties and work as a team to reach our objective while we were building the drone.
It has been a fantastic experience!
