Final Project

Students of the joint MBA + Law produce two final projects during their fifth year – one in the area of business management, and the other in the legal field. In order to graduate, students must have passed, or at least enrolled in all the basic and obligatory subjects in the degrees’ curriculum.

The projects are carried out during the second term of the 5th year and are used to assess students’ acquisition of the skills taught on the course.

The overall objective of the project is to enable students to address and realise - preferably as a team - in a given time and under the supervision of a tutor, a project related to one of the following categories:

BMA Projects:

Project for the creation of a new business:
Developing a business plan for a business idea proposed by the students or, alternatively, by a group of external entrepreneurs.

Country Study Project:
An in-depth analysis of the business opportunities that a particular country can provide for enterprises in our regional community.
Proyecto específico:
Specific Project:
Development of an in-depth study on topics specifically related to the main areas of competences of the BMA degree that are highly topical and relevant, and of proven practical applicability.

Law Project
The acid test of the Law degree at Deusto is the Final Degree Project. Its content should be eminently legal and should be related to at least two branches of law. In order to pass, students must demonstrate their ability and readiness to apply their knowledge.

The project may be produced in any one of the three languages (Spanish, Basque or English). The input of the tutor takes on particular significance in the:

  • Choice of topic
  • Definition of the structure
  • Selection of appropriate sources
  • Editing the draft project
     

The tutor will also assist students in preparing the oral defence of the project before a Tribunal.
