DELFIN MONTERO holds BA degrees, both in Psychology and in Educational Science, and a PhD in Psychology from the University of Deusto. He is currently Senior Lecturer at the Department of Social Pedagogy and Diversity, where he teaches at the Bilbao campus. He teaches BA courses in Primary Education, Social Education, Psychology and Social Work, and MA courses in Special Education Needs, Social Inclusion and Disability and on the MA in Mental Health and Psychological Therapy. Specifically, he teaches the following BA subjects: Education of Students with Developmental Disorders and Education of Students with Behavioural Disorders and Mental Health (BA in Primary Education), Social Pedagogy (Social Education and Social Work) and Intellectual Disability on the three above-mentioned MA courses. His research and publications mainly focus on intellectual disability, adaptive behaviour and social and educational inclusion. He is member of Intervention: Quality of Life and Social Inclusion a research team at the College of Psychology and Education.
