She holds a BA in Law from the University of Deusto (1981-86). She did a postgraduate course in Private law at the Leopold Wenger Institut at München University (Germany), as grant holder of the Basque Government. She has worked as a Lecturer at the Private Law Department of UD’s Faculty of Law from 1989 to present. She was Deputy Judge of the Provincial Court of Guipuzkoa (2001-2006) in the civil and criminal sections. She is currently a practicing lawyer.
