Welcome to our section for careers advisers for secondary students. Here you can find all the information you need to guide students through their career choices at the University of Deusto. You will find information about the new undergraduate degrees, double degrees, admission process, deadlines, open days, etc. We hope you will find this tool useful to support your careers guidance work.

Personal advice

At the University of Deusto we know how difficult it is sometimes for students to decide on their most suitable career choice. Therefore, the Information Service for New Students offers students the possibility of meeting the careers advisers of the different programmes, who will answer their questions and inform them about the subjects on the different degrees, career opportunities, etc. so that students can make the best choice.

These interviews can be held either by phone or in person at the campus itself to suit them best. They can come to the Information Service for New Students at both campuses and apply for a session, contact this office by phone or email, or they can apply for an interview on each of the undergraduate degrees section on our website.

Information sessions

As in previous years, the University of Deusto offers you the Information Service for New Students so that students, parents and teachers can obtain the most updated and straightforward information about the wide range of courses at the University of Deusto.

To meet the demand for information about the new degrees in the best possible way, we offer you several session formats, both at your centre and at both campuses of the University of Deusto. The choice of one or several session formats will help you to establish a programme of sessions tailored to your students' needs.

These sessions are especially designed for 1st and 2nd year secondary students, regardless of the pathway they are on, since the degrees at our campuses can be accessed from any of them. In addition, we find it interesting to hold additional sessions for students' parents.

We should also mention that the Information Service for New Students is open to suggestions and recommendations, as well as to any other type of Information Session that may be best adapted to their students' needs.

University Workshops

The different Faculties at the University of Deusto will be holding conferences, workshops and visits to the facilities available in each faculty for one week, so that both students and lecturers interested can learn in situ: the degrees taught in each faculty and how they are taught. In addition, they will be able to meet the lecturers with whom they will have contact throughout their studies, and experience many aspects of university life for one day. Our aim is to help prospective students to get to know the University, and gain first-hand information about the degree of their choice and its career prospects.

These Faculty Weeks are mainly targeted at 1st and 2nd year secondary students under LOGSE.

Students can attend these sessions either on their own or as a group, or accompanied by their school teachers. However, we request that advisers and/ or teachers from secondary schools should confirm that their students will attend the activities so that we can organise the events efficiently. Those interested in attending these sessions on their own, please contact the New Student Office by email or phone.
