The programme focuses on addressing challenges in the field of social justice through research. The research groups working on this programme concentrate on three main areas:

Social and Cultural Challenges and Human Rights

This research team is attached to the University of Deusto’s Human Rights Institute. Research mainly focuses on processes which lead to socio-cultural ruptures and integration of society’s most vulnerable groups. The key approach is Human Rights protection.

Deusto Social Values

This research team is attached to the Department of Sociology and Social Work at the University of Deusto. Its main research area is the study and interpretation of social reality based on analysis of the social values underpinning relationships, determining behaviour and influencing definition of social of organisation and its duties.
