Elena Ghidoni, former MSCA fellow within the DIRS-COFUND project, has received the Benita Asas Manterola Award for research with a gender perspective in the doctoral thesis category for her PhD thesis “Developing structural intersectionality in legal analysis: the case of stereotypes as forms of discrimination”. The name of the award honors Benita Asas Manterola, a teacher and feminist born in Donostia-San Sebastián in 1873. Co-founder of the newspaper El Pensamiento Femenino, she was president of the board of directors of the National Association of Spanish Women, and participated in the suffrage movement for the right to women 's vote. Elena has received the award ex aequo with the researcher Estíbaliz Linares, for her work “El Iceberg Digital Machista. Análisis, prevención e intervención de las realidades machistas digitales que se reproducen en la natividad digital de la CAE”.
