We are proud to present our next Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow of the 6i Dirs project, Eugenia Allotey.

Eugenia is a PhD candidate from Ghana and holds a Master’s degree in Education with Specialization in Educational Research from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. With over seven years teaching experience in Ghana and Sweden, her research interests are in disability studies, inclusive education and studies that give voice to the vulnerable and marginalized in society.

She is currently a member of the research team eDucaR at the University of Deusto and writing her PhD thesis on Dialogic Interactions in Schools to value diversity in a compulsory school in Ghana supervised by Dr. Rocío García Carrión.

Eugenia has just returned to Bilbao from her 5-month fieldwork in Ghana with important provisional results: after implementing Dialogic Literary Gatherings (DLGs) in a school in the southeastern part of Ghana with 79 grade 8 students, it emerged that participants in an egalitarian dialogic space freely discussed their differences and acknowledged a positive transformation in their interpersonal relationships.
