Meet the Fellows of the 6i-Dirs COFUND project: Paddy

This time, we are pleased to present you Paddy Junior Asiimwe.

Paddy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Data Communications and Software Engineering from Makerere University (Uganda). He has served as an assistant lecturer and a researcher with the department of Information Systems at the College of Computing and Information Science of the same university since 2012.

He joined the 6i Dirs COFUND project in November 2020, and he is carrying out his doctoral studies in Engineering for the Information Society and Sustainable Development under the supervision of Luis Enrique Díez Blanco and Dr. Odono Steven Eyobu from Makerere University. Paddy also works as a research assistant at DeustoTech - Instituto Tecnológico Deusto at the University of Deusto. His main areas of interest in research include wireless sensor networks, mobile application development, machine learning, localization and artificial intelligence.
