Most students do their internships in Biscay, although there are partner companies in Alava or Guipuzcoa. Students choose their internship centres according to their interests, convenient locations to their places of residence and the availability of places.
There is a wide variety of internship centres, ranging from day care services, employment, housing, leisure and free time services… The following organisations are internship centres for this Master’s degree.

Credits, tutors and internship calendar
Distribution of credits for internships
Students are required to complete 12 ECTS credits (300 hours) as the practicum. They are distributed as follow:
- 80% of the time (240 hours) consists of practical activities for the student interns in centres, organisations, They will be supervised by an on-site supervisor.
- 10% of the time (30 hours) consists of student tutorials to monitor the progress of the internship.
- The remaining 10% (30 hours) is devoted to writing the final report.
Coordinators and tutors
Master’s degree students have an internship coordinator at the University. He/she liaises with the centres, etc., supervising the students’ internship and ensuring that the learning process is consistent.
Students are supervised by on-site supervisors at the centres, etc. These professionals act as tutors/supervisors to guide their learning and ensure they develop the target competences.
Internship calendar and timetable
Students' internships last throughout the course and are completed in one centre. However, students usually work in two or three different services provided by the internship centre to make the experience as enriching as possible.
The internships will preferably be three mornings a week. They are scheduled to begin the first week of November and end the first week of May.
