In collaboration with
In 2002, Deusto Business School and the Spanish Institute of Chartered Accountants formed an alliance to establish the Official Master’s Degree in Auditing to provide the essential theoretical and practical accounting and auditing knowledge necessary for the exercise of the profession.
With this programme, the Spanish Institute for Chartered Accountants took a step forward in the development of professional and technical training for the world of auditing.
The Master’s reinforces the traditional training in accounting and financial areas for which the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Deusto Business School has long been recognised.
The programme is especially important in a time like this that highlights the importance of professional auditing and accounting for guaranteeing the legitimate interests of all the social partners of a company.
Collaboration with major audit firms
The Master’s is organised jointly with the Spanish Institute of Chartered Accounts and has the support of the major audit firms in the Basque region.
Many of the most respected professionals in the field collaborate both in imparting lecture sessions as well as in the development of the internships realised by our students as part of their degree.
Preparation for the professional exams of the Spanish Institute of Chartered Accountants (ROAC)
The profession of auditing and accountancy is regulated by law and exercising the profession requires registration in the Official Register of Auditors (ROAC). This is obtained by passing a series of theoretical and practical exams and having proven professional experience in a firm for a determined period of time. The Master’s degree in Auditing provides adequate training to pass these ROAC exams.
