"The main aim of this Master's degree is to provide future auditors with the theoretical and practical knowledge"
Joseba Madariaga
Director of Master's degree in Accounts Auditing
"Many of the most respected professionals in the field collaborate by giving lectures and in the development of the internships.
The core function of companies is to create wealth for society by encouraging its progress and development in a world with an increasingly global economy. This important role calls for effective communication channels between companies and society that may help to determine the degree to which this task if fulfilled.
Of all the information that companies release, facts related to the economic-financial aspect are most outstanding. And it is in this field that the role of accounts auditing takes on a special relevance.
The main aim of the Master's degree in Accounts Auditing is to provide future auditors with the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to analyse accounts, through adequate revision and verification techniques, and to submit audit reports to third parties that may evidence the reasonableness of the information contained within.
Organised jointly with the Spanish Institute of Chartered Accountants (Basque Country Regional Association), the main audit firms operating in our area support this programme. The programme is taught by a team of renowned experts in the field, who also supervise students during their internships.
Each year twenty students enrol in this programme. We hope you will find this project attractive."
