What after the Master?

Itxaso Cordón

The main reason that led me to take this Master's course was the possibility it offered me to put into practice the knowledge I had acquired in the theoretical classes.

It is a demanding Master's in terms of time and dedication. One of its strong points is the possibility of sharing the classes with people coming from different areas and degrees, as they always give you different points of view.

I had the opportunity to do the internship at Haizea Wind, a company I am now part of, developing personnel selection, training and administration.

After completing my degree in Psychology at the University of Deusto, I was sure that I wanted a career in the world of Human Resources. I considered various options but finally chose Deusto Business School because of its prestigious reputation, the trust and security this guarantees and the network of contacts it could give me.

And now that I have finished, I am sure I made the right decision. I enjoyed the ambience and diversity among classmates, the different ages, nationalities, backgrounds...

Another very positive aspect was the chance to do an internship in big companies. I was in two firms in the Velatia Group. My on-site supervisors were outstanding; they placed their trust in me and taught me loads.

When I finished the Master’s, I got a job in the HR Department at Deloitte, where I am working now.

Combining theoretical and practical classes makes it easier to put into practice the knowledge acquired on a daily basis, favouring a strong evolution as a professional.

During the master’s, I did an internship at Tecnichapa, a company based in Igorre (Bizkaia) that belongs to the Velatia Group. When I finished the internship, and thanks to the support of the people who tutored my internship, I had the possibility to join another company of the Group. In this way, I am currently working as a Human Capital specialist at Smarmec.

For me, it has been a unique experience that has allowed me to develop both personally and professionally.
