Area Manager Marketing Department Ikusi (San Sebastian)

I currently work at the Ikusi headquarters, the same company where I did my internship during the Master’s degree in Business Management. We develop solutions for data acquisition and analysis that enable us to increase our clients’ competitiveness by optimizing their processes.

My tasks include elaborating sales and action plans, managing distributors on a daily basis and providing support for new opportunities, making offers and setting prices, troubleshooting, launch of plans for new features, managing online and offline activities (video recordings, brochures, SEM campaigns...), managing the after-sales tool on the web page, organising trade fairs...

We have kicked off a project to improve a service tool for distributors and end users. It is an application that allows you to make a simple diagnosis of what is going on by remote control, and depending on the diagnosis, it takes you to a series of repair videos. The first version of the tool was a very basic application, and now we want to expand its capacity. We are developing a section on our company’s webpage with this content, incorporating new products and information so that it will become a benchmark for providing first hand support.

My daily work varies widely. Being in the Marketing department, I am frequently in touch with R&D, Corporate Marketing, service providers…
On the other hand, I find business activity challenging. We work with distributors across the world, and I am learning a lot from their daily management, customer relationships, carrying out projects that involve a certain level of technical development, etc.

The Master’s degree in Business Management was the springboard to enter the company. It rounded off my technical background as well, providing a vision of all the aspects that make up a business.
