Methodology

The academic staff at the Institute of Leisure Studies of the University of Deusto has adapted its methodology to the new Bologna requirements, which focus on assisting and guiding students in their learning process.

The academic staff is involved in pedagogical innovation that requires new ideas, their implementation and specific training to perform teaching responsibilities such as a leadership that promotes, develops and fosters independent and significant learning

The programme fosters independent and meaningful learning based on the UD Education Model through:
 

  • Lectures, case studies, modules on theory, individual work and group work dynamics.
  • Support of an online training platform
  • Internships
  • Design and implementation of a project in a company or organisation.
  • Trips, company visits and seminars.
  • Personal and online tutorials.
  • Study abroad or design of a new project in an international framework (optional)
  • Assessment is based on:
  • Obligatory attendance to class .
  • Presentation of individual and/or group projects.
  • Submission and defence of the Master´s Final Project.

Students will be provided with continuous tutorials:

  • Faculty advisor.
  • Internship supervisor.
  • Master´s Final Project tutor.
