Introduction

The Master’s programme leads to an official Spanish diploma in Leisure Management: Culture, Tourism, Sport and Recreation. Offered since 1989/1990, it is designed to train competent professionals in line with the needs of the current social panorama which regards leisure as a first-rate value, on which much of citizens' well-being and quality of life depends, as well as the political, economic and social development of contemporary societies.

This Master's programme has been designed to train professionals who wish to update their knowledge about Leisure Project Management with regard to facilities, programmes and services; as well as to the design of policies, educational intervention, entertainment and management in the fields of culture, tourism, sport and recreation. Students enrolled in the Master’s programme can also choose an academic track that equips them with the competences and tools needed to enter the PhD programme.

This programme prepares competent professionals to satisfactorily meet today’s needs. Emphasis is placed on innovative approaches to the challenges in an industry which is distinctive for its dynamics and creativity.
