Idurre Lazcano Quintana
Since 2000 she has been researcher at the Leisure Studies Institute at the University of Deusto. She is a member of the Basque Government’s Leisure and Human Development official research team (Category A-Ref. IT 587) since it was recognised in 2009. She has participated in more than 70 research projects, including 10 competitive projects and 29 as a principal researcher. She has been accredited as Research Staff (PhD) by the Quality Evaluation and Accreditation of the Basque University System (Uniqual). She has an officially recognised six-year research period. She is co-author of various monographies and about thirty book chapters and articles in scientific and specialist journals. She is a member of the drafting committee of the Revista Contextos Educativos (Emerging Sources Citation). She is also a lecturer on various postgraduate degrees (Deusto University, University of Granada…) and on the PhD programme in Leisure, Culture and Communication (Deusto University), where she has supervised five defended theses, and is currently supervising three theses. She has been a guest lecturer at several universities in Latin America (Honduras; Ecuador; Brazil; Uruguay…). Since the 2014-2015 academic year she has been Director of the Master’s in Leisure Management. Since 2005 she has been an academic coordinator of Master’s final projects, and has supervised over 60 projects since 2001. Her research interests include youth leisure, spaces and citizen involvement.
