| ||The Amigó Foundation is a functional non-profit private organization. The entity was based on the testimony and work of Luis Amigó, and on the purpose and mission of the Capuchin Tertiary Fathers, friends of Amigó. The entity works in the field of psychosocial and educational intervention in favour of children, adolescents, youths and their families, in situation of inability to adapt and/or social exclusion, especially with behavioural problems, promoting their progressive social reinsertion and their free and full development as individuals, contributing to the free and complete human development and the improvement of the quality of life. |
| ||The Urgartzi Group of Services for Welfare Promotion is a business group specialized in the comprehensive offer and management of the different existing resources in the field of social assistance, both at the public and private level. |
It has specialized centres in the three territories of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country to assist minors in vulnerable situations that are under the tutelage or protection of public institutions. These centres address the basic needs of minors and a continuing educational project is carried out. These centres provide minors with a stable environment, assisted by professionals that supervise the development of the minors´ project and manage the appropriate use of the community resources.
| ||The Regional Institute of Social Welfare is an autonomous body attached to the Department of Social Action of the Biscay Regional Council. Its aim is to meet the social needs of those people designated by that department, through the provision of quality specialised social services. It has centres and homes for children and adolescents, and it carries out the following programmes: |
• General basic programme.
• Specialized programme of assistance to adolescents.
• Emancipation preparation programme.
• Emancipation programme
• Assistance programme for children and adolescents with serious disabilities
| ||The Childhood Service-Department of Social Action –(Gizartekintza Saila) carries out management and responsibility tasks regarding the protection of minors. Its aim is to provide children with a stable and safe environment where their basic needs are covered, through these services: |
1. Reception, assessment and guidance.
2. Family placement and adoptions
3. Residential care

The Social Reintegration Institute of Alava (IRSE) is a private and non-profit entity of social intervention programme and service management, formed by professionals from different disciplines (psychology, pedagogy, law, social work, social education...) who work in multidisciplinary teams.
Programmes and services offered by IRSE in the field of minors:
Childhood and adolescence protection, functional homes, day-care centres, pre-employment day care centre, visitors’ service.
Intervention in an open environment, street education programme juvenile justice, etc.
| ||The Gaztaroan Ekin association offers open, semi-open or close services to minors with behavioural problems who are under legal action. The association manages the only two centres for girls in the Basque Country, both located in Alava. |
Once they incorporate into the educational or working resources of the community, minors carry out the final measures in these centes and train themselves to be more independent. These centres also manage a mixed flat in Vitoria, called Autonomy Residence

CAIA, the Child and Adolescent care centre of Laredo, is a day-care centre for those families who have difficulties in looking after minors during both the school and holiday period, which belongs to Cantabria’s government. Its aim is to prevent the effects of these difficulties through integration services:
•Stays in the centre
•Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack.
•Delivery and collection of minors in the educational centres of Laredo.
•Morning and afternoon school support activities.
•Socioeducational programmes: social skills, audiovisual tools, guided groups, programme of individual competences and coordination between tutors/mentors of educational centres.
•Family Orientation services.
•Psychological care and intervention
•Referral to childhool and youth mental health services

Umeak Kalean is a non-profit association aimed at creating a leisure resource for children and youth from the 5th district of Bilbao. It is made up of four entities with great experience in educational leisure time: Biharko gazteak, Jatorrak eskaut taldea, Bidegintza association and EDE Foundation. This association mainly seeks to:
- offer comprehensive care to children, adolescents and youths aged between 5 and 25, and who live in Bilbao´s fifth district;
- offer a proposal of activities to these groups throughout the year;
provide them with an educational framework in leisure time activities.
- offer a space of encounter, play and leisure time;
Contribute to the full development of boys and girls, adolescents and youths through the use of educational tools in leisure time.
| ||The Childhood and Youth Mental Health Centres are social and health services aimed at offering out-patient care specialised in mental health to children and youths in Biscay, Guipuzcoa and Alava. The teams are multidisciplinary and are formed by psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and nursing staff, among others. The aim of these services are: |
•Diagnosis, treatment and surveillance of patients.
•Family care and orientation.
•Support of primary health care for the detection and treatment of mental disorders •Coordination with health, education, social and legal services to provide an appropiate response to the characteristics of mental health in childhood and adolescence.
•Application of health care programmes
•Participation in activities aimed at the prevention mental health promotion and mental illness prevention.
| ||The Bizgarri association offers healthcare services to children and adolescents in vulnerable situations derived from the Childhood Services of the Provincial Government of Biscay. It also develops a meeting point service to prevent further damage to minors in vulnerable situations after parental separation or divorce |

The Conflict Resolution Programme is one of its action areas: How can we face conflicts? This programme is aimed at 12-16 year old adolescents and youths and is carried out in different High Schools in Biscay.
