Why Deusto?

  • In close contact with leading companies in the ICT sector. In this master’s course, companies are very actively involved in the training of prospective engineers. This involvement is structured into four main areas:

    • Course content: advice on the definition of course contents.
    • Teaching: participation in teaching.
    • Master’s final project: they offer the possibility of conducting a Master’s final project in a real context.
    • Company internships: Internship opportunities where students can apply the knowledge acquired in leading companies in the sector.

The aim is to prepare highly-qualified, competent engineers who are able to meet the current labour market needs.

  • Innovation: Both lecturers and researchers conduct cutting-edge research at DeustoTech, research institute. At present, DeustoTech has successfully carried out over 100 regional, national and European research and innovation projects. It collaborates with more than 50 companies and 40 research groups worldwide. The aim is to be on the cutting edge of technologies.
  • DeustoKabi. The Faculty has a technology-based business incubator called DeustoKabi, where a number of innovative projects on advanced services are carried out. DeustoKabi takes part in the master’s course both in training students and providing them with internships.
  • The quality of the teaching staff. The teaching staff is made up of practicing professionals from leading companies in the ICT sector and lecturers at the University of Deusto, who take an active part in the DeustoTech Research Institute, thus providing this master’s course with cutting-edge knowledge.
  • Available resources
    • Laboratories: Actual equipment provided by companies. Open more than 8 hours a day.
    • DeustoTech: An ongoing flow of researchers and lecturers from and to DeustoTech, with the possibility of undertaking internships in companies, collaborating in innovation projects or starting their research career (PhD studies).
    • DeustoKabi: A business incubator that offers enterprising students the opportunity to put their business ideas into practice.
