General Health Psychology

Programme

  • Credits: 90 ECTS credits

  • Qualifications: Master’s degree in General Health Psychology (official Spanish diploma)

Methodology

  • Experiential context: activities aiming to explore previous concepts, significant cases and students’ previous experience concerning this thematic area.
  • Reflective observation: Activities prompting reflection by questioning and systematic observation.
  • Conceptualisation: Presentations (face to face and online), reading texts and/or guided illustration.
  • Assessment: Activities to evaluate the student’s progress such as written exams, reports, etc.
  • Tutorials: Students attend individual and group tutorials to have their work supervised and monitored.
  • Online tutorials are also used to supervise and check students’ progress.
  • Active experimentation: Applied activities such as analysis of cases, intervention and research projects, problem and project-based learning, summaries, hands-on activities in centres, data collection and analysis.

 

Assessment
  • Students perform in-class activities individually (questionnaires, problem solving, case studies).
  • Oral presentations in the psychology centres.
  • A record of in-class participation and communication skills performance.
  • Oral presentations in the classroom.
  • Assignments-projects.
  • Internships in the laboratory (Deusto-Psych).
  • Scientific reports.
  • Individual portfolios.
  • Practical in-class group activities (debates, case studies, preparation of communications, etc.).
  • Subject-specific written tests.
