Article 15 bis. Industrial Mention in the title of Doctor.
1. The mention "Doctorado Industrial" (Industrial Doctorate) shall be granted provided that the following circumstances are present:
(a) The existence of an employment or commercial contract with the doctoral candidate. The contract may be entered into by a company in the private or public sector, as well as by a Public Administration.
b) The doctoral candidate must participate in an industrial research or experimental development project that is developed in the company or Public Administration in which the service is provided, which may not be a University. The industrial research or experimental development project in which the doctoral candidate participates must have a direct relationship with the thesis being carried out. This direct relationship will be accredited by means of a report that will have to be endorsed by the University.
2. In the event that the industrial research or experimental development project is carried out in collaboration between the University and the company or Public Administration in which the doctoral candidate is working, a framework collaboration agreement will be signed between the parties. This agreement will indicate the obligations of the University and the obligations of the company or Public Administration, as well as the selection procedure for doctoral students. The doctoral candidate will have a thesis tutor appointed by the University and a responsible person appointed by the company or Public Administration, who may be, where appropriate, Director of the thesis in accordance with the Doctorate regulations.
