Declaración Eclesiástica de Competencia Académica Infantil y Primaria (DECA)

Methodology

Our teaching methods are mainly based on distance teaching. This ensures students’ personal work and activities in cooperative learning and allows tutors to control this process

IT HAS FOUR MAIN SECTIONS:

  • Teaching materials

Teaching materials include the necessary documents and their corresponding student learning guide, which is available on the Alud platform, where the different topics are developed as well as the main subject areas to be studied, exercises and practical sessions to be performed

  • Tutorials

An individual tutorial session is provided for each of the units where each participant must send the different exercises and activities to their respective tutor. In addition, there is an online group tutorial with discussion forums focused on relevant issues on each topic.

  • Taught sessions

The main aim of these sessions is to guide and encourage students and explain them the concepts on the different teaching units.

  • Assesment

Assessment is made on a continuous basis by evaluating the different exercises and tests that are done by students and submitted to their tutor throughout their learning process.

ALUD 2.0 online platform

The University of Deusto has set up an educational platform for online distance training, with great flexibility to integrate a wide range of information and contents.

EACH PARTICIPANT WILL

  • Have free access to the distance learning platform without time restrictions or conditions.
  • Be assigned a personal tutor, who will provide them with ongoing, personalised supervision of their activities and constant feedback, and will solve any questions that may arise during the teaching and learning process.
  • Have a place where to work and save everything they do (personal notes, activities, exercises…); they will also be able to share them with their tutors, with whom there will be constant sharing.

MAIN ONLINE RESOURCES AVAILABLE

  • The virtual room: this is a space where each student can have access to a number of teaching units, readings, activities and exercises, which makes learning easier and more effective.
  • The programme: this allows each participant to have access to a wide range of documents on each topic, by using a user-friendly intelligent library. Here students can have free access to topic contents, do exercises and practical activities.
  • The tutorial mail: it allows student to contact their assigned tutor by email to ask questions, make suggestions, etc. during the year.
  • The forums: these are spaces for discussion on specific and current issues in the field of school religion education.
