Susana Franco specialized in Mathematical Economics at the University of the Basque Country before moving to England to carry out her Ph.D. and Master's Degree in Economic Development. She has worked at various British and Latin American universities. Susana Franco has acquired experience in matters of development through work carried out at an NGO, and has also offered advice to various United Nations agencies. After a period spent teaching at the University of the Basque Country she joined Orkestra, where she undertakes research projects, using both qualitative and quantitative techniques, principally concerning clusters, innovation, and regional competitiveness.
