MARIA JESUS GOIKOETXEA ITURREGUI holds a BA in PSYCHOLOGY AND THEOLOGY from the University of Deusto. She is currently Lecturer with PhD at the University of Deusto, where she teaches at the Bilbao campus. She teaches BA courses in PSYCHOLOGY, and MA courses in MENTAL HEALTH AND PSYCHOLOGICAL THERAPY, PSYCHOLOGY FOR SOCIAL INTERVENTION, DRUG ADDICTION, and SOCIAL INCLUSION AND DISABILITY. Specifically, she teaches the following subjects:•CIVIC AND PROFESSIONAL ETHICS on the 4th year of the BA in Psychology•PSYCHOLOGY OF TERMINALLY-ILL PATIENTS on the 5th year of the BA in Psychology •ETHICAL SKILLS AND RELATIONS AND INTERVENTION IN HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY on the MA in Mental Health and Psychological Therapy•PROFESSIONAL DEONTOLOGY on the MA in Drug Addiction •ETHICS OF SOCIAL INTERVENTION on the MA in Psychology for Social Intervention •ETHICS on the MA in Social Inclusion and DisabilityHer publications mainly focus on WELFARE ETHICS AND PSYCHOSOCIAL INTERVENTION AT THE END OF LIFE. In recent years she has been working on ASPECTS OF ETHICS AND SOCIAL SERVICES (Proper treatment and Mistreatment and Autonomy and Dependence, Violence). She forms part of the SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY research team. Other areas of research interest include PALLIATIVE CARE.
