Blanca Ortueta is BA in Economics and Business Science from the University of Deusto and holds a postgraduate course of International Business from the Chamber of Gipuzkoa. She works in Internationalisation at the Chamber of Gipuzkoa and has over 24 years of business experience. From 1996 to 1998, she was Managing Director of PEGSA (Promoción Empresarial Guipuzcoana, S.A.). Since 1990, she has held several positions at the Chamber of Gipuzkoa: International Competitive bidding information service called FIDEX, European Union cooperation programmes like EEN Enterprise Europe Network, responsible of several technical assistance programmes financed by the EU and held in different countries like Dominican Republic, Serbia, Bosnia&Herzegovina, Turkey, UKraine among others ; organised business meetings; visits of business delegations to different geographical areas all around the world; provided personalised on-site consultancy (with regular visits) on how to develop and international marketing plan and how to start exporting; currently responsible of Argibide service dedicated to give advice on issues concerning tariffs, documentation, country business information, how to make an investment, among others. She has combined her business activities with teaching training courses and seminars since 1991: development aid from the European Union and other donors (World Bank, Interamerican Development Bank), International Economy and Structure, cross cultural negotiation taught either in English, French or Spanish. She has published several articles on issues of international cooperation and promotion of international trade in “Economía Guipuzcoana and FIDEX Bulletin”. She is member of the Board of Management of an industrial SME located in Hernani (Gipuzkoa).
