The University of Deusto, under the sponsorship of Santander Group, provides grants for the development of PhD programmes that fall within the aims of the UNESCO Chair in Human Resource Training for Latin America, and in response to the agreements signed with AUSJAL and other linked universities.
The University of Deusto offers grants to undertake PhD programmes at this University. This grant scheme is financed by Santander Group.
With these grants, the University seeks to consolidate and further the existing historical links with AUSJAL universities and other universities attached to the project carried out by the UNESCO Chair and other cooperation projects.
In addition, it has a firm determination to strengthen the cultural and social links that bind us together.
It strongly believes that the principle of solidarity must be governed by the spirit that encourages and guides the relationships between peoples and institutions.
It shares the common values of respect for democratic principles, the defence of human rights and citizen participation as the main pillars that are necessary for economic and social development.
It aims to promote human resource training and social organisation as the driving forces for ensuring fair, equal and continuous development.
Candidates must:
- Be lecturers (or prospective lecturers) at a Latin American university or body with which the University of Deusto has signed a bilateral cooperation agreement, or must be officially linked to some of them.
- Hold a BA degree.
Funding:These grants are worth a gross monthly amount of EUR 1,000 to cover board and lodging costs.
