The Deusto Hall of Residence was created in 1961 with the aim of welcoming students who wished to complete their academic education with their social and human development, within an atmosphere of study and coexistence. This same spirit is still prevailing at the Hall today, as well as the Ignatian motto To love and to Serve.
The Hall of Residence, which belongs to the University of Deusto and is run by the Company of Jesus, welcomes all university students whether from the University of Deusto or from the University of the Basque Country. It is close to the University of Deusto, and it has direct access to the campus. It has common areas, which house Reception, Administration offices, Chapel, Dining rooms, Study and Computer rooms, Library, Gymnasium, TV rooms and coffee bar, etc. All the rooms are individual and are located in three buildings divided into floors, each with a communal lounge. The Hall offers mixed accommodation, and the percentage of university students is around 50%.
