The Bilbao campus is located opposite the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, and a few minutes' walk from the Euskalduna Congress and Concert Hall. It is situated in the heart of Abandoibarra, a space of more than 350,000 square metres with large areas devoted to leisure, commerce, hotels, housing and offices, which is now the symbol of a vigorous and revitalised Bilbao. The new Library of the University, designed by architect Rafael Moneo, and also located in this privileged part of the city, completes the number of new architectural works in this area.
The campus is made up of the Literary Building or Main Building, built in 1886, and where Law and Arts courses are given; La Comercial building, a 107 year-old-building that hosts Business Studies courses; ESIDE Building, which is adjacent to La Comercial Building, and where engineering courses are held, and the Centenary Building, built to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the university. The campus has an arboretum that is made up of over 30 different species, and it is one of the most important botanical landmarks in the city.
Being a university student involves much more than choosing the Degree you want to study. For this reason, the UD offers students a number of services that round off their university education: Sports, Languages, University Guidance Service, Pastoral, Job Search Service, Social Assistance, etc.
In addition, in order to meet students' demands and needs, the university of Deusto provides an accommodation service for those students who live outside Bilbao, and who will start their university studies at the University of Deusto.
